Hold On -- You're Giving it away?
Scores of authors have discovered the marketing value of a podcast version of their book. Providing a free audio edition, available in episodic segments over time, exposes a work to a world-wide audience potentially numbering in the tens of thousands. A substantial percentage of these listeners go on to purchase the book in a tangible or electronic edition, and even more donate via podiobooks.com to the creator of the work.
Think of the podcast edition as an inexpensive marketing campaign with global reach.
